Why choose Lexica Training Institute?

What impels us?
At Lexica we are fascinated with the science behind learning languages. How does your brain want to learn? Which methods and technology are truly brain compatible? For over 20 years we have been driven to find the best ways to teach a language. Our program is the thrilling result of this journey.
How do you benefit?
The emphasis we put on the science of language acquisition and the immediate, practical application in the classroom of everything we teach produces the type of dynamic, effective teachers who are in high demand anywhere in the world. Our program will empower you to teach English (or any other language you know) with success!
What sets Lexica apart?
Over the last 22 years, in addition to teaching English and Spanish, our principal instructors, Jordan and Ruth Stackhouse, have conducted  teacher training seminars with over 1000 students in 17 countries on five continents. Most of these trainees had learned English and other languages in an institution such as university or college with an average course duration of one year. They were all asked this question: “How many distinct methods did your teacher use to get you to speak the target language. Without fail, 99% replied: “two or three methods.” The vast majority expressed great dissatisfaction with their language learning experience. At Lexica Training Institute we teach our trainees at least thirty distinct methods that when consistently applied can elicit 1000 responses from their language students per hour. The top priority for language students is to speak and understand the language they are learning. Without neglecting reading  and writing skills we focus our teacher training on the critical speaking and listening skills.
